Meet Our Owner

Kaleigh Thomas started Village Boards KC with the hopes of merging her love of good food with beautiful design. She is a wife to husband Jeff and a mother to her two children, Rian (6 years old) and Lane (2 years old). She is a former 8th grade Special Education teacher and lover of coffee, the color hot pink and mystery novels. When she isn’t making boards for her customers, Kaleigh is usually spending time with her family, binge watching shows on Netflix, planning what new recipes she wants to try or thinking about ways she can continue to grow Village Boards KC.

FAQs

  • Our boards are our standard, everyday option for a beautifully delicious graze. They can be used for parties, meetings, weddings and everything in between. Boards come 100% assembled and ready for serving. All components can be disposed of after use. Prices vary from $100-$270.

    Our bespoke grazing tables are unique, colorful and exciting displays which are meant to be the centerpiece of your event. Bespoke grazing tables include graze boards, artisan bread and crackers, serving ware and floral decorations all hand-delivered and styled on-site by us. Bespoke grazing tables are not available to shop on our website as we work closely with you to create a completely custom spread for your event.

  • Delivery and setup are only included in the pricing for a bespoke grazing table. If you order a board on our website, you can either pickup your order or choose to pay for delivery when checking out. The delivery charge for the KC metro area is a flat fee of $35. We do not deliver outside the KC metro area. Setup is not included when you order a board. Your order will come boxed up, but it is your responsibility to store all graze boards prior to the start time of your event as well as pull it out of the box when you are ready for it to be displayed. More information on storing your board(s) in the fridge can be found below.

  • No, we only offer delivery to the KC metro area as well as pickup in Lee’s Summit, MO. During the checkout process there will be spots where the term “shipping” is used - please note that this is just an issue with the website builder and is something we are not able to change on our end. When you see this, it is referring to delivery.

  • When you arrive at the provided pickup location, please give us a call and we will bring your order out to you. Before arriving, please clear out a space in your car that will allow your order to sit completely flat. Seats are NOT ideal for transport as they typically have a slope to them, which can cause ingredients to slide out of place. You will want to drive slow and take turns with caution - our boards take a lot of time to create, but can easily be messed up if you are driving too quickly.

  • Unfortunately, we can only fulfill orders placed at least 72-hours in advance. Our calendar tends to fill up quickly, so the sooner you can submit your order the better!

  • No - florals are NOT intended for consumption.

  • Please put all boards in the fridge until you intend to serve. Our cheese, charcuterie, and fruit boards can handle being in the fridge overnight but should be consumed within 24 hours. Do not eat your board if it is left out of the refrigerator for over 4 hours.

  • No problem! Please note this in the ‘Additional Information’ section during checkout and we will be sure to adjust the ingredients accordingly. NOTE: WE ARE NOT AN ALLERGY-FREE FACILITY. Please be advised that our food may contain or come in contact with nuts, soy, eggs, wheat, gluten or dairy products

  • We are unable to accept returns because of the fresh nature of the items we provide. If we provide you with the wrong order or there is an issue with the order you received, we must be notified within 3 hours to be able to issue a refund. We will require proof of incorrect items received.

  • Cancellations must be submitted one week or more before your fulfillment date for a full refund. After that, we will not be able to issue a refund for any order cancellations. For grazing tables and private workshops, we can issue a full refund if you cancel your event one month or more before your scheduled event date and a 50% refund if you cancel your event between 2 weeks and one month before your scheduled event date. After that, we would only be able to provide an event reschedule, not a refund of any kind. If you need to cancel your event because of a Covid-19 issue, the information above still applies.

  • Serving utensils are only included in the pricing for bespoke grazing tables - they are not included when you order a board.

  • All serving sizes are listed as appetizer portions. If you are wanting your order to serve as a meal, consider sizing up.
